CANTON, Mass. (July 12, 2018) – In a return to mutual banking, Deborah (Deb) Bearde has joined Bank of Canton’s downtown Randolph branch as assistant branch manager.

With over 35 years’ experience in banking, Ms. Bearde will help supervise daily branch operations and service delivery at Bank of Canton’s 67 North Main Street location. Together with Branch Manager Kathie Ludecker, she will develop new business and represent Bank of Canton in the greater Randolph community through her involvement in several non-profit and civic organizations.

“Working at a mutual bank again, it feels like I’m coming home,” said Ms. Bearde. “Bank of Canton is a great fit for me. Kathie and I have worked with each other for years at the Randolph Chamber of Commerce and Lions Club, and we already know each other well. She has a great, service-oriented team with strong ties to the local area. I’m very eager to dive in.”

Ms. Bearde joins Bank of Canton following 15 successful years at Randolph Savings Bank/Envision Bank. Prior to that, she spent 19 years at Hingham Institution for Savings, where she began her career as a teller and worked her way up to assistant vice president/branch manager.

“Deborah will be a great addition to our Randolph team,” said Anthony F. Caruso, senior vice president of retail and branch administration at Bank of Canton. “She’s a go-getter and she holds herself and those around her to the highest standards of customer service. She’ll be a great ambassador for Bank of Canton, and I’m very excited to see what she and Kathie can accomplish together.”

In addition to her new role at Bank of Canton, Ms. Bearde is an active member of the Randolph Lions Club, Randolph Chamber of Commerce, South Shore Chamber of Commerce, Randolph Friendly Food Pantry, My Brother’s Keeper, South Shore Elder Services, and The Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Ms. Bearde is a graduate of the New England Banking Institute. She lives in Braintree with her husband, Brian.
