CANTON, Mass. (February 27, 2017) – Bank of Canton is partnering with MusicCounts! in Canton as the exclusive $2,500 sponsor of MusicCounts’ upcoming “Irish Night” fundraiser at Canton High School on Friday, March 10th. The fundraiser aims to cover the $8,000 approximate cost of the new Kawai piano in the school auditorium.
“MusicCounts! helps ensure that Canton students can receive a top-notch musical education,” said Stephen P. Costello, Bank of Canton’s president and CEO. “With Irish Night, they’ve organized a fantastic evening of traditional Irish music, step dance, student performances and more. It’s going to be a great celebration, and a great way to help support our schools’ music programs.”
Irish Night is being held at the CHS auditorium from 7:00pm – 11:00pm. The event will feature the Irish ballad and folk band, “Dreams of Freedom,” and performances by the Haley School of Irish Dance. Canton students will be performing at the pre-party from 7:00pm – 8:00pm as well.
“We’re very excited to have Bank of Canton sponsor this event,” said Sue Harrington, president of MusicCounts! in Canton. “We greatly appreciate their generous assistance in making Irish Night possible for the community.”
Since 2005, Bank of Canton has given more than $1.75 million to local charities and nonprofit organizations through donations and sponsorships.
