CANTON, Mass. (April 21, 2015) – Bank of Canton raised over $2,500 as part of the 2015 Rally for the Jimmy Fund annual fundraising challenge. Over 60 bank employees made individual contributions, and earned the privilege to wear their favorite Red Sox gear to work in place of their typical business attire to celebrate the Red Sox home opener on April 13.
“It’s a lot of fun for a great cause,” said Geri Ryan, manager of Bank of Canton’s Customer Information Center and organizer of the bank’s Jimmy Fund “Rally Team.” “It’s our fourth year participating in the Rally, and it’s great to see so many colleagues support the campaign. A lot of our contributors received red and blue Red Sox caps as thanks from the Jimmy Fund, which was a really nice touch.”
Employees’ individual donations totaled just over $1,250, and the Bank of Canton matched all employee contributions.
“We’re proud to support the Jimmy Fund and help the patients and families receiving treatment at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute,” said Stephen P. Costello, President and CEO of Bank of Canton. “Dana-Farber’s commitment to improving the overall treatment experience is outstanding. It’s a great local cause, and our employees really stepped up to support its mission and services this year.”
