The Mitten Tree at Bank of Canton’s 60 McGrath Highway branch in Quincy.
CANTON, Mass. (January 11, 2018) – Bank of Canton collected 429 winter accessories for local charities last month, as part of its annual holiday Mitten Tree drive.
Customers and employees of the bank’s 60 McGrath Highway branch in Quincy donated handmade and newly purchased hats, mittens, socks and scarves to benefit Quincy’s Interfaith Social Services organization, dedicated to improving life for South Shore families and individuals in need. The donated items adorned the branch’s tree throughout the month of December.

Costello, president and CEO of Bank of Canton. “We had tremendous participation in all of our communities this year, and I’m pleased to see this holiday tradition grow and benefit even more of our neighbors in need.”
The Mitten Tree collection drive was part of Bank of Canton’s holiday promotion, which also included a free public showing of the animated movie Arthur Christmas at the bank’s 250-seat auditorium in Canton, as well as a “crazy holiday sweater” drawing contest that awarded $1,000 to young artists.
