Bank of Canton Hires John Jones as Regional Lending Manager
July 2007- George DeMello, Senior Vice President of Residential Lending for Bank of Canton, is pleased to announce that John Jones has joined the company as a Regional Lending Manager. Specializing in first time homebuyers, Jones' primary responsibility will be to assist clients interested in purchasing or refinancing a home in Taunton, Attleboro, Middleboro, Carver, Raynham and the surrounding area. He will also be influential in originating mortgages, assisting customers in the home buying process and refinancing decisions and managing the flow of the loan process, from application to closing.
An industry veteran with more than 12 years experience, Jones' extensive mortgage background will be beneficial to his clients and allow him to give them an overview of the real estate industry. Prior to joining Bank of Canton, Jones was a Senior Loan Officer for Primary Residential, Inc. in South Easton, Mass. Jones originated purchases and refinanced residential loans, using the mortgage as a tool to better his clients' overall financial picture.
"I am looking forward to offering my customers personalized attention and helping them obtain loans that best fits their needs," said Jones. "I am excited to be working for a well established institution such as Bank of Canton that has such a rich history in the area."
"John's extensive regional knowledge and experience in residential lending will benefit Bank of Canton and our customers," DeMello said. "We look forward to the opportunities he will create."
Jones, a Dighton resident, studied Business Management at Castleton College in Castleton, Vt. He is an active member of Segregansett Country Club in Taunton, where he and his wife Jackie and two sons, Robert and Patrick enjoy spending their weekends.
