Bank of Canton Promotes Michelle Higgins to Vice President/Human Resources Director

July 2007- James D. Egan, President and Chief Executive Officer of Bank of Canton, is pleased announce that Michelle Higgins has been promoted to the position of Vice President/Human Resources Director for Bank of Canton. Higgins, who previously served as Assistant Vice President of Human Resources, will be influential in administering benefits, conducting employee relations and overseeing employee development programs.

Higgins is a banking industry veteran with more than 20 years of experience working on the South Shore. She joined Bank of Canton more than nine years ago as Assistant Vice President/Branch Manager for Bank of Canton's Quincy location. She was then promoted to Assistant Vice President of Human Resources where she contributed to many significant enhancements within the company.

"Michelle has been a great asset to us since joining nearly a decade ago," Egan said. "Her experience in streamlining operations and dedication to our team made her the perfect choice for this position. We look forward to the ideas and opportunities she will create for Bank of Canton employees."

Higgins received her Bachelors of Science in Psychology and Business Management from Stonehill College in Easton, Mass. She is a South Area Council Member of the American Red Cross and is affiliated with various banking, human resources and Chamber of Commerce organizations.
