Bank of Canton Donates Hats and Mittens to Local Charities
January 2007- Bank of Canton is pleased to announce that the Brookline Branch recently donated dozens of hats and mittens to the Kids Clothes Club in Brookline, Mass. This year, Bank of Canton asked local patrons to decorate the Bank's Christmas tree with hats and mittens in lieu of ornaments (pictured above). The garments collected will be distributed to needy children and adults throughout the Brookline community.
Kids Clothes Club supplied new warm winter coat to over 6,000 children last year. The Kids Clothes Club remains a grass roots organization of neighbors helping neighbors, and now serves over 100 organizations and agencies in greater Boston.
"Keeping bundled up is essential to staying warm and healthy during the winter season," said Elaine Joseph, Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager of Bank of Canton's Brookline Branch. "We are glad to donate to such a worthy cause."
Brookline residents are encouraged to donate hats and mittens to The Housing Assistance Corporation, located at 120 Cypress Street in Brookline.
All of Bank of Canton's branches contributed to the Mitten Tree giving program. The Rte. 138 Branch and their Main Office branch donated dozens of hats and mittens to Canton's Secret Santa, the Quincy Branch donated to The Salvation Army in Quincy, the Hyannis Branch donated to the Housing Assistance Corporation in Hyannis, and the Randolph Branch donated to Evelyn House in Stoughton.
