Bank of Canton Sustaining Sponsor in Cancer Walk

October 2006- Bank of Canton was a Sustaining Sponsor again this year for the Annual Quincy Medical Center (QMC) Cancer Walk held on September 17th to benefit The Marie A. Curry Fund. This annual event helps QMC provide free cancer screenings and services to non-insured and under-insured men and women throughout the South Shore. Team Bank of Canton (pictured here) consisted of employees, their families and friends, who raised more than $3,250 to benefit the fund, helping to raise a grand total of more than $130,000 for the Marie A. Curry Fund.

"This year's walk was a great success," said Linda Werman of the QMC Development Office. "Our thanks to the more than 1,200 participants, their donors, volunteers and the event sponsors. We look forward to seeing everyone next year for the 10th annual event."
