Bank of Canton Sponsors Neighborhood Housing Services Two-Day First Time Homebuyer Workshop

February 2006- Bank of Canton recently sponsored a Neighborhood Housing Services First Time Homebuyer Workshop held at its corporate headquarters, located at 490 Turnpike Street in Canton, Mass. The first session, held on May 15th, covered credit evaluations, the dangers of predatory lending practices and the documentation needed to file for a mortgage application. The second session, held on May 20th, included presentations by mortgage professionals including a real estate agent, an insurance agent and an attorney, who walked attendees through the various stages of the home buying process. Bank of Canton's Regional Lending Manager Judy Farmer discussed mortgage programs tailored for the first-time homebuyer.
