Neponset Valley Chamber of Commerce Names Bank of Canton "Business of the Year"
February 2006- James D. Egan, President and Chief Executive Officer of Bank of Canton, is pleased to announce that the Neponset Valley Chamber of Commerce (NVCC) recently named Bank of Canton "Business of the Year" for 2006. The award was presented to Egan on Tuesday, May 2nd at Bank of Canton's corporate headquarters, located at 490 Turnpike Street in Canton. In addition to the award, Representative William C. Galvin and Senator Brian A. Joyce both presented Egan with Citations recognizing Bank of Canton's outstanding achievement in business and commitment to the communities it serves.
"Bank of Canton received the Business of the Year Award for its outstanding achievement in general management, employee relations, business growth and social responsibility; Bank of Canton receives honors grades in all of these areas," said NVCC President & CEO Douglas R. Wynne, CAE. "Bank of Canton has not only grown its assets from about $200 million to more than $750 million during the last five years, but it also contributes generously to local and regional causes. Never wanting to settle for second best, Bank of Canton's constant pursuit to achieve excellence makes us proud to count them as one of our members."
