Bank of Canton Hires Barbara Howard as Assistant Vice President, Branch Manager

February 2006- James D. Egan, President and Chief Executive Officer of Bank of Canton, is pleased to welcome Barbara Howard as the new Assistant Vice President, Branch Manager for Bank of Canton's Quincy office, located at 275 Quincy Ave. Howard will service clients' personal and business banking needs and provide community support and outreach to the residents of Quincy and surrounding towns. She will also be responsible for managing bank operations, generating new business and ensuring the fiscal integrity of the bank.

Howard is a banking industry veteran with more than 19 years of industry experience. Prior to joining Bank of Canton, she served as the Manager of Strata Bank in her hometown of Franklin, Mass. Previously she served as Branch Manager and Officer for Compass Bank in Walpole, Mass. Howard also spent 15 years at New England Credit Union Center in Southborough, Mass., where she worked as Vice President of Business Development, and ran the training center as well as established a new call center for members to apply for loans and credit/debit cards over the phone.

Howard is a Board Member of both the Kiwanis Club of Quincy and the Quincy Business Association. In her spare time, the Franklin resident enjoys volunteering at Purrfect Cat Shelter in Millis and spending time with her son, Jake.
