Bank of Canton Hires Brenda Harrington as Assistant Vice President, Assistant Controller
March 2006- James D. Egan, President and Chief Executive Officer of Bank of Canton, is pleased to announce that Brenda Harrington was hired as Assistant Vice President, Assistant Controller. Harrington will be based at Bank of Canton's corporate headquarters, located at 490 Turnpike St. in Canton. In her new role, Harrington is responsible for financial reporting and monitoring for all of Bank of Canton's six branch locations in Brookline, Canton, Hyannis, Quincy and Randolph. Her daily duties include: regulatory reporting to the FDIC and Federal Reserve; computing and monitoring monthly capital ratios; and financial recordkeeping and reporting for the mutual holding company.

Harrington is a banking veteran with 23 years of industry experience. Most recently, she served as Comptroller for Hyde Park Savings Bank. Prior to that, she spent 20 years as the Assistant Vice President of Finance at Bay State Federal Bank in Brookline, where she managed investment portfolios and regulatory reporting to the Securities and Exchange Commission. Her training includes courses at New England College of Finance in Boston and a Certificate of Asset and Liability Management from the ACB Center for Financial Studies in Fairfield, Conn. She is also a member of the Financial Managers Society.

Harrington lives in Easton with her husband, James, and son, Brenden. Brenden also works for Bank of Canton as the Head Teller of the Route 138 branch in Canton.
