Banking Veteran Brings 32 Years of Industry Experience to Cape Cod

January 2006- James D. Egan, President & Chief Executive Officer of Bank of Canton, is pleased to announce that Miriam Morse was hired as the Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager for Bank of Canton's newest branch, located at 145 Barnstable Road in Hyannis, Mass. In her new role, Morse will be responsible for managing bank operations while guaranteeing exceptional service and generating new business for both personal and business banking customers throughout Barnstable County.

A 32-year banking industry veteran, Morse most recently held the title of Vice President of Eastern Bank in Lynn, Mass. Prior to this, she spent 28 years as the Vice President for the Plymouth Savings Bank in Middleboro, Mass.

"Miriam's roots in the community make her an ideal candidate to serve the residents of Barnstable County," Egan said. "Her industry experience and extensive knowledge will create many opportunities for Bank of Canton and our customers."

Miriam received a B.A. in history from Westfield State College. She is also a graduate of the Massachusetts School for Financial Studies and the National School of Banking. She lives in Mashpee with her 19-year-old-son, Peter.
