Bank of Canton Hosts Donates $3,000 to Massachusetts Hospital School

March 10, 2011 –Stephen P. Costello, President and CEO of Bank of Canton, is pleased to announce the Bank’s recent donation of $3,000 to the Massachusetts Hospital School (MHS) in Canton. This contribution helped sponsor the annual class trip to Disney World in Florida covering expenses such as airfare, hotel and wheelchair transportation. The Class of 2011 marked the 25th year of class trips to The Magic Kingdom which provide students with an opportunity to utilize independent living skills learned during their educational experience at MHS. Over the past quarter century, MHS has sent nearly 400 children to stay at Disney World.

"As the 2011 and the 100th commencing class prepares for their next journey in life beyond MHS there is one dream they look forward to coming true, the dream of going to Walt Disney World,” said Dick Crisafulli, Director of Recreation at Massachusetts Hospital School. "This trip is a once in a lifetime experience for our kids that they will cherish forever, but it wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of sponsors like Bank of Canton. We thank them for their support over the past 25 years, and they should take great pride knowing that they helped make this dream a reality for these outstanding students.”

The mission of The Massachusetts Hospital School is to provide medical, educational, rehabilitative, and recreational services to children and young adults with multiple disabilities, assisting them to achieve their maximum level of independence in all aspects of life. MHS is open to Massachusetts children and young adults from ages 6 to 22, who require medical management for a physical disability.
