Bank of Canton Donates $5,000 to My Brother's Keeper

July 15, 2010 – Stephen P. Costello, President and CEO of Bank of Canton is pleased to announce the Bank’s recent donation of $5,000 to My Brother’s Keeper, a volunteer Christian Ministry serving southeastern Massachusetts.

“These are hard times for growing numbers of struggling families that My Brother’s Keeper serves in Christ’s name. Our deliveries of furniture, food, and Christmas presents are provided at no cost to the recipient,” said Vincent Shea, Mission Advancement Director of My Brother’s Keeper. “My Brother’s Keeper is grateful to Bank of Canton for its strong community involvement and generosity in helping to fund our deliveries to more than 6,000 local families annually.”

“My Brother’s Keeper is a tremendous organization that positively impacts the lives of so many struggling families throughout Southeastern Massachusetts,” said Mr. Costello. “Bank of Canton shares the commitment of the organization’s staff and volunteers to go above and beyond expectations to give back to our shared communities. My Brother’s Keeper delivers food, furniture, and household items free of charge to those who seek assistance. There are no prerequisites for service. Based in Easton, this non-profit organization does not accept any federal or state funding, and depends solely on private donations to maintain operations.
